I designed Samshine’s website in 2015, but in 2019 she approached me and asked me if I would help her to design an entirely new website to replace her old one as she had started moving in a new artistic direction. Her original website focused more on her photography services, whereas the new website focuses on both her Special F/X Makeup as well as her Photography. She specifically requested the new design be modern and edgy, and we were both very happy with the end result! I also set up an email signup form so that she could start building an email list of contacts interested in her art and services so she could then send them updates on her work. I am definitely very proud of this project!

Life Concepts is Murray Comber’s website. Murray is one of my long-time clients and is a Corporate Soft Skills Trainer and Career & Work Consultant who is certified as a Personal Dimensions Trainer/Instructor. He is now based in Stratford, Ontario, Canada region, and provides in-person and online workshops that are invaluable to helping people find their career path while discovering who they are and how they relate to others. I highly recommend his services – he is a Career Counselor with a passion to help people find the career path that best suits them!

I originally designed his website back in 2010, and in 2019, it really needed to be modernized to comply with current standards such as being mobile-friendly. An SSL certificate was also necessary for the new website as it is now highly recommended by Google in order to meet SEO requirements. Murray also needed to have a custom Contact Form for potential clients to reach out to him. Eventually, we will also be adding an Email Sign-Up Form so that he can create an email list and more easily keep his clients up-to-date on his services and offerings.

CareerFitForYou.com is run by Murray Comber, one of my long-time clients. He is based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada region, and travels throughout North America giving workshops that are invaluable to helping people find their career path while discovering who they are and how they relate to others. Murray wanted to be able to take some of his workshop courses and convert them to be online training courses that could be sold through a new website and have a membership base that would access a learning management system to take the courses. This was one of the most complex websites I’ve developed, and it integrates a lot of moving pieces that include not just the website and the special functionality (such as a built-in learning management system for online courses, e-commerce to provide the ability for visitors to purchase access to the courses), but also integration with an email marketing and automation service that would help to protect the content and ensure users receive the appropriate emails to access the online courses, and even when someone completes a course.

Murray will be adding additional courses to his website in the future, and when he’s ready to do so, he has already committed to having me help him with that. For now, we’ve implemented three online courses that he sells as a bundle, and after extensive testing, the website has officially launched!

If you’re in need of some career advice, his courses are very affordable and will help you in your career journey! If you’re unhappy in your career, I recommend you take his courses as he will expertly guide you through the process of figuring out where you are in your career journey, what career best suits you, and he will also help you figure out where to go from there.

Video Game Grooves

Video Game Grooves is a site that hosts a podcast that features video video game soundtrack releases on vinyl records.

They were looking for a redesign of their website to ensure they were responsive to computers and mobile devices, and they also wanted to be able to allow visitors to click on their gallery images without interrupting their podcast. They had a few more requests, including being able to showcase their twitter feed on the side bar of their inner pages, and in general just have a more professional website. We’re proud to say that we were able to meet all of their requirements within budget, and they loved their new site! Don’t believe me? Read their tweet!

Gregg’s Flooring is based in Ottawa, Ontario. It’s a well established, fully bilingual family business providing home renovation services to the Ottawa Valley region since 1926. They specialize in refinishing, restoring, sanding and staining hardwood floors, as well as installing laminate and ceramic floors, and even staircase refacing, so they do a variety of jobs.

Gregg’s Flooring is one of my long-time customers, and I’ve redesigned their website twice now. Originally (years ago), they had a basic html site. In 2013, I re-designed their site to have a more modern look and ensured it was fully bilingual in English and French, and in 2016, I updated it again to be fully responsive to mobile devices.

As an artist and photographer in from the Ottawa Valley Region (national capital of Canada) but now living in Toronto, Samshine needed a website to showcase her art creations as well as her photography, and to give her clients a place to go to see samples of her work. This is actually my stepdaughter and I was more than happy to be able to help create something that accomplished these tasks, as well as ensuring her new website was responsive to mobile devices.

Wes Chips

Wes’ Chips is a hidden gem in the Ottawa Valley! Located in Arnprior, Ontario (also where UC Web Creations is based), they have been around since 1960 and they serve the best fries I’ve ever had from a chip truck! I was so honoured to be chosen to help them develop their online presence! If you are ever in the area, look for the mobile chip truck that is now a permanent landmark on Madawaska Boulevard in Arnprior, Ontario.

They didn’t have a website yet, and they also needed an updated logo to be printed on t-shirts for their staff. Wes’ Chips contracted UC Web Creations to leverage our expertise in developing their site as a modern, responsive, WordPress-based design. I’m very proud of the results!

HRT Appliance Repair is a family owned & operated business based in Ottawa, Ontario, specializing in appliance repair. They were established in 2002, are factory-trained and have licensed technicians who have developed a reputation for delivering fast, efficient, and trustworthy work.

HRT Appliance Repair had an html-based website and wanted a mobile-friendly, responsive WordPress-based design, so that’s what I delivered! Due to the nature of their business, I also ensured it was easy for potential customers to contact them, and the feedback I got was that the new design prompted an increase in customer contacts via the contact form on the website, so my mission was definitely accomplished and my client was very happy!
